We've made some significant updates to the layout of our website over the last week that bring us up with current standards.
Most importantly, we have updated our website layout to support "responsive" design. The previous version of our site only showed in one format. This worked fine on computer screens, but left mobile visitors looking at the same layout on a tiny screen. Our new design is mobile friendly and automatically adjusts to the size of your device. The viewing experience on smartphones and tablets is much improved.
In addition, we've simplified the layout, moving to a single sidebar on the right side. This is partially to improve the mobile viewing experience, which moves all the sidebar information to the bottom of the page, but also makes the full-sized version of the site cleaner and easier to read.
We have also added a new social sharing tool, provided by Shareaholic, that floats a toolbar on the right side of every page featuring links to common social media platforms. If you want to share any of our pages or blogs to social media, simply click on the appropriate social button on the toolbar.
We still have a few interface improvements to make, but these new functional improvements should make the Five Star site much easier to use, particularly for mobile visitors.
